My MUSE | Tymon Gudsell

My MUSE | Tymon Gudsell

Hello everyone,

Olivia here, with the latest in My MUSE news!

For our second My MUSE deep dive, we’ve gone straight for the goods … more specifically, the gorgeous owner and founder of The Goods Agency, Tymon Gudsell.

One of my all-time favourite people, Tymon and I first met at Intermediate at the tender age of 11. She smiled at me, I told her who my favourite Spice Girl was, and we’ve been navigating life side-by-side ever since – from discos to driving lessons, friendships to fashion choices, and now, to raising our children and running our own businesses. I couldn’t think of a better person to be sharing it all with.

Gorgeous, vivacious and totally driven, Tymon is making serious waves in New Zealand’s advertising/marketing industry with The Goods Agency. She has more determination than anyone I know – she started a business while running around after a toddler AND growing another perfect little human – and, to top it all off, is enviably stylish and completely stunning. An absolute muse.

For the second instalment of our new My MUSE series, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Tymon to discuss motherhood, marketing and our mutual love of MUSE cashmere.

Tymon, tell me about why you started your business, The Goods Agency.

Hello! Well, after working for various big agencies over the past 10 plus years – M&C Saatchi London & Colenso BBDO - followed by smaller New Zealand owned Indie Agencies, I realised there was a gap in the market. I decided to take my experience and put it into something that was all mine. I was constantly using my knowledge to help friends and family with their own start-ups and growing businesses, so it made sense to create an offering that provides affordable, simple and results driven help for small businesses in New Zealand.

What's it been like starting a business with a toddler & being pregnant?

Motherhood has honestly ignited me! Becoming a mum has made me reflect on my life in a way I never did prior to having kids. I decided that if I was going to take time away from my little guy, it had to be for something I’m really passionate about. Getting to work with brands and businesses I really care about, and witnessing the results we can achieve together … it’s been so rewarding. I love it.

What items have you lived in this pregnancy?

My Nagnata shorts! They have grown with me throughout the pregnancy, plus the merino has kept me and my bump warm and toasty through these colder winter days. I’m a huge fan of Alemais – the elastic band on my Alemais set has been a lifesaver for this expanding belly. I’ve also been living in this Caitlin Crisp dress, it’s so comfortable and looks chic with a blazer over the top, which is perfect for meetings and busy work days. I also can’t get enough of MUSE Cashmere – I sized up this season and have loved the feel of the snuggly cashmere over my bump.

What is on your MUSE wishlist?

A new pair of Céline sunglasses and more MUSE Cashmere – it really does elevate every look!
